(Note: Going to karaoke is an excellent way to exercise your reading skills in Japanese. Even better if you already know the lyrics, since you can mentally connect the sounds with the symbols that much faster.)

Step 1: Find a karaoke place. For example, a Round 1 or a Big Echo.
第一：カラオケの店を見つけること。例えば、 Round 1とかBig Echo。
Step 2: Before going to the karaoke place, get a piece of paper. Write down the names and artists of songs you enjoy singing. Don't underestimate your ability to fail to recall these songs when trying to remember them on the spot.
第二：行く前に、紙の一枚を準備する。歌うのが楽しい歌の曲名と歌手名をメモしておく。本番の時に思い出そうとしても思いつくことが出来ない力を甘く見ないように。
Step 3: Order lots of delicious karaoke place food. For example...
第三：美味しいカラオケの店の食べ物を注文すること。例えば。。。
明太子ともちのピザ。。。
Surprisingly delicious, crunchy french fries, and also...
意外と美味しくて、サクサクフライポテト、そして。。。
Crispy-on-the-outside, melty-on-the-inside takoyaki.
外がサクサク、中がとろろのたこ焼き。
And for dessert...
ほんで、デザートには。。。
A lovely chocolate parfait, and...
すてきなチョコパフェと。。。
Chocolate croquettes. That's deep-fried chocolate, people.
チョコレートコロッケ。チョコレートの揚げ物だぞ。
