Golden Week is a series of consecutive holidays in Japan that happens in May. This year, I actually had to work on Tuesday and Wednesday during the week, but I took advantage of the three day weekend preceding it. I went to Osaka to meet a friend from college I hadn't seen in ages!
ゴールデンウィークっていうのは、日本での五月の一週間ぐらいの連休だ。今年は、火曜日と水曜日に仕事があったけど、その前は三日間の週末だったから、連休を生かして、久しぶりに会ってない大学時代の友達と遊びに、大阪に行ってきた！
Our room at the Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda. It was my first time staying there, and the decor just appealed to me a lot. Green is my favorite color, after all.
初めて泊まったHearton Hotel Kita Umedaの部屋。デザインがすごく気に入ったよ！一番大好きな色は緑色だしね～。
In a rare turn of events, I opted to wear a skirt.
珍しいことに、スカートにした、ハハ。
I grabbed this magazine from the reception desk. It made me want to eat okonomiyaki something awful!
フロントでこの雑誌を取って、大阪にいる間にお好み焼きも食べたいようにされちゃった。
今まで何度も大阪や神戸に行ったことがあるが、京都はまだ行ってなかったので、今度、絶対に行きたい！、って思って行った。でも、デーワンというのは、実際半日だから、京都まで行ってくる時間がなかったんだ。その代わりに、ネーディンっていう私の会いに行った友達は、大阪に住んでいるもう一人の友達と、三人で、食事をしようと申し入れた。どうせい、またSweets Paradiseっていうビュッフェに行きたいと思ってたから、そのアイディアがちょうどよかった。

And then it was time for cake! I'd been looking forward to this since forever, so I was super stoked.
そして、ケーキタイム！ずーっと楽しみだったから、ワクワクしていた！
Isn't it awesome?! I went up and got a heaping plateful three times! After eating that much, my stomach kinda hurt, but it was totally worth the pain.
すごいでしょう？！私は、皿に大盛り乗せて、三回もケーキを取りに行った！そんなにたくさん食べた後で、仲がちょっと痛かったけど、その痛みの価値があったんだよ。
After food, we all went to take "purikura" together. Akane knew a really good spot and showed us the way.
食事してから、皆でプリクラをしに行った。アカネちゃんが、すごくいいところ知ってて、案内してくれた。

最後のは、ちょっと、私の頭から誰かが一口食べちゃったように見える。。。
Near the purikura area, there was some kind of display or something for clothing brands, so I took some pictures of that too (of course).
そこの近くに、ブランド品の服のキャンペインとか何とかがあって、それの写真も撮った（もちろん）。

After purikura, it was pretty late, so we parted ways with Akane. On the way back to the hotel, we ran across these cool trees decorated with lights, and I just couldn't not take pictures of them too.
プリクラの後は、時間が遅くて、アカネちゃんと別れた。ホテルに帰っていくついでに、このきれいな、灯りが掛けている木を見て、写真を撮らなくてはいられなかったんだ。
After that we got back to the room, and I fell asleep pretty much as soon as I got into bed. I must've been more worn out than I thought.
So, next up is Day Two! Keep an eye out for it!

ほんで、部屋に帰って、ベッドに入ってさっそく寝りこんでしまった！思っていたより疲れてたよね。
